Sierra Freeman
Founder & Executive Director | Board President
Sierra Freeman is a first-generation Valdosta State University graduate, higher education professional, and founder of Fearless First-Gen Collective. Drawing from her own first-generation college journey and her work supporting students in higher education, Sierra founded FFGC to help first-generation students navigate college with greater confidence, knowledge, and belonging. Her passion for student success, advocacy, and access drives the organization's mission to ensure that being first never means navigating college alone.
Brandon Freeman
Chief Financial Officer | Board Treasurer
Brandon Freeman is a first-generation Valdosta State University graduate and educator committed to helping young people recognize their potential and pursue meaningful opportunities.
As CFO and Board Treasurer, Brandon supports the financial stewardship and long-term sustainability of Fearless First-Gen Collective. His background in education and commitment to students bring an educator's perspective to FFGC's work with first-generation students and families.
Shaundra Straughter is a first-generation Valdosta State University graduate and educator passionate about helping students recognize their potential and pursue growth opportunities. As COO and Board Secretary, she supports the coordination, development, and implementation of FFGC's programs and initiatives.
Her educational experience strengthens the organization's commitment to meeting students where they are and helping first-generation learners move forward with confidence, support, and a strong sense of belonging.
